Works on Paper (Sculptural Process)
When I start a sculpture I first refer to my drawings. I consider these blueprints because I map out the future of the entire sculpture here. Each one of these lines and angles are measured here first and defined before it gets constructed into the 3rd dimension. Therefore the paper can not be removed and subsequently, the burned holes are created as metal bars are connected.
