Linear Degree Series

Architecture affects people in ways that maybe Architects have understood only after their buildings are constructed. For me, architecture is about relationship of the work to the individual person. It becomes more about space and the relation of it around you. I am attracted to straight angles and lines, the hard and inflexible, created by man. Design elements and principles that make up an overall visually pleasing object. These pieces illustrate this material’s strength while juxtaposing its fragility with a paper thin quality. With stretching this material to its thinnest degree, there’s something elegant in its fragility. I emphasize this structural necessity in the form as well as emphasize the physical line created.
